The above picture is a bit of a misnomer, since we haven’t exactly “covered” tomorrow’s NFL Draft. In fact, we don’t believe we’ve mentioned it, and since it’s less than 24 hours until we get a constant dose of that man pictured above, we figured it was high time we did something.

Back on the bandwagon
Look, I don’t claim to be an expert on hockey. I’ve put up a couple of Flyers posts here, but once they starting sinking like the Titanic in mid-February, I figured injuries had done them in and that it was time to focus our attention on the future for a team with a pretty young core. But let’s just say that their first round series with the Washington Capitals officially sucked me back in.

This is why we watch
Yeah the Pistons are more talented, more experienced, and on their home court. Yeah the Sixers — based on their roster — have absolutely no right to be where they are right now. Yeah every expert on God’s green earth picked the Pistons to roll in this series, and we’d have been hard-pressed to see it otherwise. But isn’t that why we watch?

Hallelujah!! Now let’s play, Keno
After a grueling month-long search, to say we are excited about PC hiring Keno Davis today would be an understatement. Opening Day at Shea
With the PC Coaching Search dominating our thoughts recently, we’ve been a little lax on keeping you updated with the young baseball season. But yesterday’s Phils/Mets contest gives us occasion to jump back into America’s pastime.
We’re certainly not in the business of jumping to conclusions (bonus points: second Tom Smykowski reference within a month), but there’s a couple of lessons we can take from yesterday’s game.

PC Coaching Search: Circle The Wagons
Now that we’ve had a few days to digest the Larranaga decision, and the landscape has changed for other coaching openings, it’s time to reassess where Providence stands in its coaching search. Bob Driscoll has a second chance to investigate some coaches that should have been in the mix from the start, as well as pursue a few interesting new names that have recently surfaced. As always, there are candidates we hope Driscoll avoids like the plague as well. After the jump, we rank and break down the 10 most likely choices to be the Friars next head coach.

Larranaga says no thanks, PC reaches critical juncture
As PC alum Jim Larranaga turns down PC, we take a look at where Providence AD Bob Driscoll has gone wrong in his search — as well as what lies ahead.
