Better late than never
The above picture is a bit of a misnomer, since we haven’t exactly “covered” tomorrow’s NFL Draft. In fact, we don’t believe we’ve mentioned it, and since it’s less than 24 hours until we get a constant dose of that man pictured above, we figured it was high time we did something.

A road diverged…
This is the quandary the New York Jets find themselves in this off season: a regime predicated on building through the draft is faced with numerous holes to fill on a team that went 4-12 last season in a free agent pool that has top-end talent available at two positions of need – guard and cornerback. Add to that the surplus of cap space the Jets have and it would seem to be the perfect recipe for making a splash in free agency.

For the NFL, it’s never the offseason
While I pathetically sit here (equally pathetically – and unsuccessfully) attempting to clock linebackers run the 40 yard dash on TV at the NFL Combine – the last “athletic event” (how ridiculous is that) in the RCA Dome’s history – we should attend to a few matters with the Jets and Giants current rosters.
