Desperate Isles pick up two points against Blueshirts


The Islanders and Rangers locked horns at the Garden tonight, with the blue and orange skating away with a 4-3 win in a shootout on a goal from the unlikeliest of sources – Jeff Tambellini’s stick. Wade Dubielewicz stopped 27 of 30 shots (and 4 of 5 in the shootout) to out-duel his counterpart Henrik Lundqvist.
